Individual Assignment Individual Assignment-Take Home Exam (Major 40%) Exam Question The XYZ Pickle Company has recently hired you as the CEO, and your mission is to continue to deliver at minimum, the same double digit growth that the firm has experience over the past 10 years under the leadership of outgoing CEO, Rick Dabrine. Under Dabrine’s tenure, the low hanging fruit (or pickle in this case) has all been picked. The wartless pickle… “been there done that”, the multicolored pickle is “old news”, even the musical pickle…it’s all been done. There are no acquisition targets available as the industry has consolidated and many of the independents have been acquired by your arch rival, MEGAPICKLE 8

Individual Assignment XYZ’s board meets in a month and the key item on the agenda… What is the process you as CEO will use to create new businesses/ products for XYZ? The board isn’t looking for the big idea just yet. The objective of this meeting is for you, the new CEO, to explain in detail, the process for innovation you will use, and the key issues you will face in the highly competitive pickle market. 9

Individual Assignment For your take home exam, you must prepare a report to the board as CEO of XYZ Pickle, highlighting each of the 12 weeks of concepts we cover in ENTR 6645. To be successful, the XYZ Pickle innovation plan must focus on relating the challenges XYZ Pickle will face to the specific issues identified in articles, cases and in class discussions/ lectures , by making specific reference to them, with specific notations, like any Masters level research paper. If pickles are uninspiring, please feel free to create an innovation plan to present to the board for any company that interests you Report of 15 pages maximum including appendices (12pt, double spaced); due in the last class Wednesday July, 20, 2016 10

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
