Open to misuse power Intrinsic violation of what it is to be a physician Should physicians always try to keep patients alive and resist diseases that can  itself kill them?  Not necessarily Obligation to resist disease ceases “when the patient is unwilling to have it  resisted or where resistance no longer serves the patient’s welfare.” Assumption:  Death is inevitable and not, in any case, always the greatest human evil. Brock Voluntary Active Euthanasia Allowing physicians to perform euthanasia is not incompatible with their  fundamental moral and professional commitment. No physician should be obligated to perform euthanasia in cases that
