The criteria for objective success includesalary, salary growth, hierarchical status or number of employees.It is also the lifelongsequence of role related experiences and the subjective career are allaspects relevant concerning individual career and is dependent on subjectiveevaluation relative to individual’s own goals and expectations.According to Hall (2002), career does not imply success or failure, fastor slow advancement and success is best judged by individual and the rightto individual personal choice. Career consists of both objective andsubjective career attainments and is a process with any sequence of work-related experiences.At school during the time for group projects, we had divided ourselves in groups of fivestudents. Each one of us was required to perform a specific task which was part of the wholeproject. I was the group leader so I was responsible for the division of work to ensure that workwas shared equally and fairly. According to the course requirement we were to perform the tasksas one entity and not the idea of sharing parts. Nearing the submission deadline each one wassupposed to have finished the tasks so as to combine the project to appear to have been done byone person. Three of us did their parts perfectly while the other two failed to follow therequirements therefore bringing a failure and entirely a shoddy job. The experience forced me asthe project lead to perfect the parts of the two members who did not meet the objectives givingme more pressure to cover up people’s imperfections to bring out a perfect job in the last minutesto submission deadline.
