Ideas of Leadership Gandhi Reaction Paper Due: Nov 6 th , 2007 What would you say is the best explanation for Gandhi's success at motivating his followers to resist colonial power? Gandhi was a leader that transcended every boundary of social order. He was a political, spiritual and social leader in every aspect. He was a man who truly found his calling in leading social revolution for civil equality. His overwhelming ability to lead the nation of Indians out of colonial oppression is his most notable accomplishment. Gandhi’s ability to motivate and gain followers made the revolution in India successful. Gandhi’s main attributes that allowed him to induce followers were his past experiences, his method of rebellion and good ol’ fashion timing. Gandhi’s experiences in life that prepared him for the civil rights movement in India were numerous. Gandhi came from an upper middle class family which allowed him to become well educated. He studied in Great Britain which was a huge factor in his
