Example Write Up based on output for our SPSS manual’s case study for conducting a Two-Way, Between Subjects ANOVA Results A two-way, between subjects ANOVA was used to analyze the length of time participants were engaged in conversation with confederates. Length of time was measures in minutes. The main effect for style of approach was statistically significant, F (2, 24) = 107.66, p <.001. Because this independent variable had more than two conditions, Tukey-HSD post-hoc tests were conducted to determine which style of approach conditions were statistically significant from each other at a p<.05 level. All conditions were significantly different from each other. Participants engaged in the most conversation in the humor condition ( M =47.40; SD =8.48), followed by the casual conversation condition ( M =30.21; SD =14.14), and then the pick up line condition ( M =2.30; SD =1.16). The main effect for attractiveness of the confederate also was statistically significant, F (1, 24) = 10.14,
