Discussion #2 Describe an area in your life that is currently in balance and discuss how you keep it balanced. The area in my life that is in balance, is coaching high school football. Coaching football is enjoyable and I would love to have the opportunity to coach for the rest of my life. Friday night lights create an environment that has stressed written all over it. The fans think winning is everything and players, are chomping at the bit to play. The coaches are wondering if their plan is going to turn into a victory. I would call this a good kind of stress or eustress , because I love it. Kelly McGonigal’s video mentioned , “participants who learned to view stress response as helpful for their performance (McGonigal, K. (2013, June) Kelly McGonial: How to make stress your best friend).” I agree with this statement, the stress that I feel on Friday nights, help my coaching style. How do I keep it in balance it is all mental and winning helps too. In chapter 5.1 Stress and Cognitive Neuroscience it stated
