Newton’s 3 laws 1. object in motion stays in motion unless acted upon by an outside force 2. F= ma 3. for every action there is an equal but opposite reaction One of Newton’s law in real world event- Gravity Orbits Tides- caused by tidal forced from the sun and the moon acting on the oceans Fall and miss the earth- How was the universe viewed after newtons revelations Is light a particle or wave? Light is both in wave and particle form Know about waves. Neils Bohr- The idea that an electron could in fact drop from a higher-energy orbit to a lower one, emitting a photon (light quantum ) of discrete energy (this became the basis for the quantum theory 3 types of spectra how are they different 1. Continuous spectrum – a display of all colors . 2. Dark line spectrum (Absorption spectrum) – certain colors are missing from a display of colors produced by white light passing through a gas and then through a prism 3.
