Rose Brink-Capriola 4/16/08 Eng 100   Dear class of 2012, With a sudden influx of new people, ideas, and goals your freshman year will be about one thing  and one thing only CHANGE.  You probably left high school firmly cemented in the values that your  parents had spent eighteen or so agonizing years instilling in you through things like; church retreats,  soccer games and other physiologically enriching activities.  Well, with new insight brought to you by  fanatical professors, the marijuana enthusiast down the hall and the other thousand or so attractive  freshman coeds at your university, the odds are that your previously “cemented” values will probably  liquefy   and flow out of your psyche like a broken down dam.   After this “cleansing” of paternal thought  the seatbelt sign will be turned off and you will then be free to move around the cabin. You should feel  free visit your nearest coed bathroom, chose from a selection of cheep beer (two dollar charge for men,  free for women) or to simply relax and enjoy the time that you have before the seatbelt sign flickers back  on every winter vacation. Oh and while you are enjoying your newly discovered freedom I would suggest  throwing a little academics in there too! That is what your parents are paying $ 20,000 a year for after all;  you don’t want to leave them totally dissatisfied.  While witnessing the constant unraveling of the moral fiber of your classmates, you are bound to  end up with some great stories from college and if you’re lucky,  an education. With a 30% graduation
