Abraham Lincoln “Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.” These words are known by millions. These words lead to the revolutionary movement that began the slavery abolition. It has been almost 150 years since Abraham Lincoln first said these inspiring words in his Gettysburg Address. Abraham Lincoln has always known for his actions toward equal rights. He was a man of great intelligence, etiquette, responsibility, and love. His presidency was one that will be remembered forever. His strides for peace and equality are a precedent for all presidents to precede him. This and more is explained in Lord Charnwood’s novel Abraham Lincoln: A biography . The novel is a very interesting interpretation on Lincoln’s life. The novel was written by Lord Charnwood who is an Englishman. The novel isn’t intended to be read by Americans, but it was written for other Englishmen. The novel is very much unlike any other novel I have read about a previous political figure. Lord Charnwood goes deep into Abraham Lincoln’s soul when describing his life. He tells a lot about Lincoln’s reasons for doing certain actions in his life.
