III.Executive Summary The company intends to expand its business by entering the global market in order for the company to stay competitive.The company has packaged and sold Almonds within the U.S. and has been profitable.With the increasing demand for Almonds it is anticipated that the company should have no problem increasing its profits as long as they can control overhead and distribution costs.The company will be successful if they can increase its profits by establishing and maintaining good working relationships with Germany.The company’s keys to success are: 1.Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with Germany.This will be accomplished by identifying the cultural differences between Germany and the United States. By identifying these cultural differences, the company will be able to develop a positive working relationship. 2.Being aware of the political situation in Germany, and identifying the differences from our own political environment, will assist the company in entering the global market. 3.Identifying the current economic state of the country, its stability, and if there are going to be any issues with import/export of parts necessary to produce our products, as well as the product. IV.Introduction The Company plans on exporting almonds to Germany, with the large amount of exportation to other countries it was determined that almonds would be a profitable product to export, especially since there has been a steady increase in demand from the 1980s to 2000s. Almonds formed nearly 70 percent U.S. tree nut export volume in recent years, averaging over 970 million 1
pounds (shelled basis), or almost three-quarters of world almond exports” [Uni15], with Germany being one of the major export countries.
