Final Performance-Analysis for Jake Murphy For my final performance I performed a short poem called "Why Hockey is Better than Sex" and it was written two years ago by a 22 year old Canadian hockey player named Dennis. I found the poem online after looking through numerous hockey poems. I wanted to pick something that was about hockey but when performed would make people laugh. Overall I think this poem did just that. When it was time for me to perform, I went up there and grabbed a chair, turned the chair backwards, and sat down and performed. I knew a good amount of the poem by heart but I still needed a the paper in front of me to feel comfortable enough to perform it in front of many people. I did notice while sitting down while I was reciting the poem that I shook my leg a lot, which is my signature move for when I am nervous. I was a little bit nervous for this performance even though I shouldn't be anymore as I have spoken to many people before and it should be easy by now. Growing up playing hockey, I was a
