Lab report #2 Unicellular Eukaryotes Materials: See lab Manuel for specific species of Eukaryotes Microscope Cover slips for slides Methods 1. To determine and view the characteristics of several unicellular organisms 2. To distinguish the differences in how each move whether it is cilia, pseudopodia, or flagella. 3. Be able to draw and locate specific structures in the organism. Questions: 7A. Amoeba 1. Unable to figure out with a live specimen but dead specimen averaged around 2 mm in length. 2. Amoebas do react to different forms of stimuli which cause them to multiply to form new Amoebas. I was unable to see a live specimen so no recordings could be made. 3. It is involved in the process of osmoregulation. 4. Probably somewhere between 5-10% 5. The amoeba is always wet so it is constantly diffusing and allowing carbon dioxide in. 6. They simply separate and form new amoebas. 7. Ameoba’s generally will have a different structure or shape after reproduction but the genetics will stay the same throughout the particular species.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
