Look for the internal structures of a round worm male and female. 3. Compare the features of Cnidaria, Platyhelminthes, and Nematoda. Features Cnidaria Hydra Platyhelminthes Planaria Nematoda Ascaris Symmetry First with Radial symmetry First of the bilateral symmetry Bilateral symmetry Shape Tubular body with a pedal disk Worm-like with small body for movement Elongated worms with a cuticle Germ Layers Diploblastic: Ectoderm and endoderm. Triploblastic: Endoderm, ectoderm, and mesoderm Triploblastic: Endoderm, ectoderm, and mesoderm Body Covering Has a mesoglea that protects the outer layer. Contains a non-ciliated tegument. Covered in a cuticle as the outer layer. Cephalization Absent no head clear head-brain region(Auricles and eyespots) Present due to head and brain region.
