Adaptation Human adaptations have been found in different cultures all around the world, and have allowed those people the ability to continue to live in many different environments. Throughout history we can see examples of these adaptations; for example, Neanderthals ability to live in colder climates or various desert cultures that have the ability to live in hot and humid climates. Another human adaptation is the ability to live and work in high altitude environments particularly the Tibetan people. To understand how we will need to look at what the adaptation is, who the Tibetans are, and how this adaptation benefits their people and ways of living. How does one adapt to a higher altitude and what problems do they have? Tibetans live and work at altitudes above 4000 meters, and these environments have a drastic change in oxygen level at these heights. For the Tibetans to live at this altitude they would have needed to have developed either a way to get more oxygen from the air or to require less oxygen.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
