Emily Gamer Bio 103 Final Lab Outline Outline: Name of enzyme: Yeast The substrate: Hydrogen Peroxide Method for measuring enzyme activity: Balloon circumference Treatment: I will follow most of the steps of lab 4. But will change PH levels instead of temperature. Acidic fluid: Vinegar pH: Using PH testing strips I will mix vinegar with water to make 3 solutions of different PH levels. length of exposure: 20 minutes how you will treat your samples: The acid will be added to the tube with the Hydrogen peroxide, with the balloon and yeast being added later, following the steps from lab 4. The control(s) in the experiment: Temperature, amount of yeast, amount of Hydrogen peroxide, balloon type, a 4th test tube with no acid in it. Sample size: 4 Hypothesis: If the PH is lower (more acidic) then the enzyme reaction will be lower causing less inflation of the balloon. How you will present your data (table and/or type of graph): I will present my data in both a table and a bar graph showing the different levels of inflation per acid level.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
