The Genographic Project I am originally from south Louisiana and my wife is from northern Washington roughly 10 min from the Canadian border and just in this little bit of distance the way we were raised and the culture we grew up in is surprisingly very different. We actually get in arguments because we cannot agree on certain ways of doing things, and for a while I could not understand why she didn’t get what I was trying to do or say. I think this is a prime example of why people from different cultures don’t always get along, because the things that you do every day might be complete normal to you, for example Ma’am/Sir in the south while in the north it isn’t as common for people to grow up saying this. Or Arab cultures taking offense to being show the bottom of one’s foot or shaking hands with your left hands. Actions like these can be seen by some cultures as disrespectful or distasteful, and I can definitely see actions of some people can have a really big effect of different set of people.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
