These were the controls because the results were expected, and correct. These were the controls because 3 drops of sucrose and dH2O has no lactase in it at all, and 3 drops of milk and 3 drops of lactase would obviously have greater amounts of lactase. C. The lactase enzyme did show specificity because none of the experiments for sucrose yielded positive results. A. Room temperature is optimal for enzyme activity. B. PH and the enzymatic activity of lactase relationship is that pH and lactase are both very important in the body. Optimal pH would be about 15, because
