Agriculture are foundation to the any economy hence they are the main contributors to  the GDP. widout these we cnnt simply imagine any other industries!! India has largest land under cotton farming in world but it is second in terms of  production after china Apples, Indian yield is 7 tons/ha while the world average is  14  tons/ha. Maize: Indian yield 2 tons/ha world avg 5 tons/ha.  Agriculture has always been neglected no matter whose govt was at the centre Small Land Holding : Over 70% of farmers are small holders (less than 1 Ha of land).  This means that one can rarely apply technological solutions that work best on the large  scale. One thing which really gonna haunt us in the future is the lack of appropriate research to tackle the problem of climate change, we are simply not responding to the challenge, its  same old, same old same old Low access to credit: which means even if the farmer wants to adopt a relatively simple  technology, say drip irrigation, he is unable to do so. Lack of agriculture. share of production is higher in China than in india    A small farmer is 'guided' by large farmers and agriculture input dealers on what to  plant, when and how.  What works for the large holder may not work for the small holder  and input dealers have a conflict of interest.  Punjab is fortunate enough to have a good network of canals for farm irrigation. But the  condition of these canals is fast deteriorating. Farmers have to purchase seeds from companies that have patented that seeds under  his name. These are seeds are suitable for that location only. For e.g. if you are farming  in California and you are using seeds that are from India, then it is quite obvious that you wont be receiving a High output. This is the same situation here. There's a company name MONSATO , & it has monopolized seed's in India , Farmers  are now left with no option but to purchase seeds from this company, as these seeds are not meant for Indian terrain therefore they result in low YIELD.Mostly 50% of the seeds  that a farmers use fails because of the same reason.  also i would like to mention it clearly that we DO NOT HAVE LOW agricultural  productivity , we have adequate productivity  .It is because of lack of Storage facilities  we are in short of food production. If you go to a place like PUNJAB or HARYANA you  will find a plenty of grain bags (Rotten)  thrown away on roads. Our production has

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
