Michael Mueller Maria Eastin ENG 102 6 March 2016 Writing Project #2: Outline I think my hook is going to be something along the lines of portraying a deeper meaning. What I mean is that when joining the army, it is a selfless act. You are fighting for your country and for freedom, and that’s exactly what those men did on D-day. The issue at hand was whether or not it was worth going across the ocean to fight a war and sacrificing men for the greater good of a nation. The answer to that question is yes, it changed history and how we are shaped today. The context of this speech is a review about what those men sacrificed 40 years ago on that day. Ronald Reagan was making the argument and his target audience is to those who were not around at the time of that fateful day. His main point in his speech was that the Allies stood together against tyranny, in an undertaking unmatched in human history. My thesis is that his
