Case Study 01: Predicting Performance “ Alix Maher - Admission Director in a college” Name : Classe : 45C Date : 21 st of Feb 2014 Case 01: Predicting Performance To the kind attention of : Dr. Hesham Sadek Problem Alix Maher a holder of bachelor’s degree in education and a recent Master’s Degree, began her work as a new admissions director at a small, highly selective New England College. Alix being without any experience in the college admission field took the opportunity to evaluate the student’s selection criteria. Alix main problem was taking a decision in the field which she studied about, but had a lack of experience on it, on changing the college’s selection criteria and weights . Definition of the Problem - Alix was hired in a position related to her study background, but her experience was not relevant to the field of college admission. - Alix had serious reservations about using SAT scores. - Alex wanted the student’s admission scores to be fair enough and evaluate the new comers with their own level not the chance they have taken, (being rich or having ease access to culture growth).

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
