P a g e | 1 The war between neighbors is as old as time. If your neighbor’s dog pooped on your lawn or if your tree hangs over the border line of the property, shedding its leaves, it caused arguments and turns friends into enemies. The 10 th Commandment states, “Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor”. This brings to mind a feud between Nebraska, who is a state that border Colorado, taking legal action against the state of Colorado for having legalized marijuana. While Colorado is thriving under its recent legalization of cannabis, aka marijuana, Nebraska argues that Colorado is to blame for their recent rise in crime, amongst other issues dealing with the state. The idea of legalizing illegal drugs to attempt to counteract the drug problem goes back to 7,000 B.C. Marijuana apparently has been around longer than humans and it has had many uses throughout the times. My personal knowledge of this drug is that it was an herb used by the Indians to treat sickness and alleviate pain. Some of the uses that I discovered that marijuana was used for were as a kind of thread; dried hemp, aka cannabis/marijuana, was woven into fabric. The Chinese used as food (the seeds), as medicine in India. At some point in time it also had its uses as making rope and fuel.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
