Cassandra N. Williams IS3230 Access Control Week 4 Discussion 7/12/15 Working from home is an option of many occupations in era of technology. Various organizations are choosing to use some type of remote access to allow employees to access the company network or applications in order to perform various tasks while away from the physical office. In many cases, especially in IT, technicians may need to remote into a computer to provide tech support. This type of access requires a secure connection. For those organizations that are economically sound enough to have a Virtual Private Network, this is the best option. VPN’s is ultimately the best option because it provides the best security for remote access. “VPN allows an employee to ability to connect remotely over public networks such as the internet. This connection allows the employee to connect to the organization’s resources and conduct business as if they are actually physically in the office. They are able to access file
