Andrei Casali 11/14/06 Writ 1e Greatest Invention of the World I claim that the world’s greatest invention is the creation of the wheel. The wheel, although a very simple tool, is probably the most widely used nowadays world wide. The wheel permits us to travel long distances in a short period of time. It has also permitted us to transport large loads practically anywhere. From cars to airplanes, and pulleys to hydroelectric power, without wheels, these could not function. The wheel has been shaping our society since the time it was invented. Summary The article “The World’s Greatest Invention” from the website , talk about the history of the wheel. It begins with the earliest uses of the wheel dating back to 5000 B.C. It quickly moves on to depict the basic 6 steps in which the wheel was perfected into the tool we now today.
