Note for The Big Lebowski Cast and Crew Lighting: should be set for traditional, non cosmic bowling alley feel. -maybe use a orange/yellow gel -Key light to be set on Walter at center stage, but also must illuminate both the Dude and Donny. Audio: Ambient bowling noises - Bowling pins being knocked over will be key for establishing scene - Fart noise will help the Dude’s character development - Ambient bowling noises may or may not include music (depending on feel of scene) - Mics will need to be hidden because characters are looking at cams head on Setting: Bowling alley in California - Beer signs, bowling balls, beer bottles, cigars, smoke (dry ice) - These objects will be general to a bowling alley and are supposed to display authenticity. Motivation for The Dude: -The dude is a very passive person who just goes with the flow. This being said, he also knows how he wants his life run and becomes very upset when things don’t go how he ‘envisions’ them. -
