Unformatted text preview: LAB REPORT FOR M4 EXPERIMENT: PROJECTILE MOTION VI-1: In this experiment we studied the flight of a projectile in 2 dimensions under the influence of gravity. Using the apparatus shown below we were able to measure variable associated with projectile motion. The variables here are: Vo = initial velocity = consistant = launch angle = 30 degrees Path A E = path of projectile = variable D = Distance of flight = variable H = Height from floor to end of ramp = 105.7cm d = distance from floor to projectile hit = variable h = distance below x-axis = variable The table below contains the data taken from 8 different distances (D), each distance contains 5 trials where distance (h) was calculated by h = H d. For this report average height 5 ) ( 5 4 3 2 1 h h h h h h + + + + = is included along with standard deviation of height 1 ) ( 2-- = n h h n n h and D h . EXCEL returned the following results: D D h 36cm 0.17 41cm 0.26 46cm 0.39 51cm 0.49 56cm 0.59 61cm 0.71 66cm 0.79 71cm...
