Kevin Park Barrientos Communication Theory Why Don’t You Have a Girlfriend Yet? In Lynbrook High School, a public gathering of geniuses that is ranked among the best of schools in the nation, I never cared about studying. Never once have I received a perfect row of A’s on my report card, nor have I been commended by my teachers for having a great contribution to the class by attending to discussions, or not disrupting the class; in fact, there were more complaints about not learning to be quiet in school, or not finishing up homework in a diligent manner. I never liked to do much work, because frankly, school was (and still is) boring. I ate, I slept, I interacted with friends, I watched movies by myself, I drove around the neighborhood aimlessly, and I even chose to do the tedious chores around the house that I neglected to do for weeks – all for the sake of attempting to avoid the schoolwork given to me. However, did this disappoint my parents at all? They weren’t disappointed; rather, they were satisfied that I was making a consistent 3.8 unweighted G.P.A. on all of my pre-senior year G.P.A.
