There are three types of web applications that can be identified. The first type Web pages, became prevalent in the mid to late 1990s. These pages were not really applications, they were information documents with static text, static images, and hyperlinks to navigate from page to page throughout the site, (Satzinger, 2012, P. 466). Their intent mainly was to provide information and content via a hypertext type of document. The second type of Website began to appear early in the 2000s. These sites were a whole lot better and more interactive, with animated graphics with plug-in modules that allowed richer content, and the functionality began to approach desktop applications. During this time frame, there were many new tools invented to make websites much more dynamic, including Java applets and things like JavaScript scripting language, (Satzinger, 2012, P. 466). In the first decade of the 2000s, Web-pages began having graphical animations as well as plug-ins for video on demand playback and video streaming

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
