As a HMO, Southside uses a number of health care systems to attend to their patients
who may at times be groups through independent models or associations where the institution
woos its clients and partners to adopt the prepaid comprehensive health care system that
caters to the needs of the defined or agreed upon population. Services provided may be full
range from rehabilitation, dental and mental health services or partial services where it is
mainly in-hospital care or outpatient emergency situations[Her14]. Southside’s mandate is to
detect and prevent diseases early and ensure patients have continuity in their health needs
through the managed care plan they provide.
Complaints against our services and the facility can be detrimental to our reputation
and image in the public domain and with our investors. It will be crucial to either substantiate
the claims of poor health delivery so as to take quick and swift action or to dispute them and
therefore reassure our partners, patients and stakeholders that the institution is in compliance
with all quality management regulations and initiatives. Despite the need for quality
management systems in healthcare being a universal need and agreement, the need for such
drastic measures and structures is rarely understood by medics and medical facilities[Gli07].
