Mark Bennetti Homework #4 The one thing that affects a country like no other is war. War can have its positive affects on a country and it can have its negative affects. America had many positive affects from World War II that helped shape the way we live today. If America had not been on the winning side of the war, who knows what life would be like today. One of the biggest results of America entering World War II was the working industry. Better known as the war industry during the war times, the war industry had a rapid growth in production and employment. The need for war materials was extremely high, so anyone and everyone who could work did. This meant that women were needed to work in factories again just like World War I. Women became a big part of the war effort on the home front by giving up their traditional roles in the house. Once the war ended, some women had the option to continue to work outside the house. Although many women returned to their traditional roles, this was a huge step for women’s rights. Another group that benefited greatly from the war were farmers and everyday workers
