The case at hand is a negotiation between Katherine Knudsen who is Vice President of Production, managing, operations and production at JBL Publishing and Alisa Jackson who is union representative at Local 1087. This negotiation is over three main topics: 7% wage increase for worker with seniority An improved benefits package across the board More personal days and schedule flexibility to accommodate family needs The case starts out by Jackson accusing Knudsen of lying. Jackson has found out that the company executives are getting multi-million dollar bonuses this year and does not understand how Knudsen says that there is no money to increase the wages of the employees. Knudsen tries to explain that the bonus is due to last years performance and has nothing to do with this years numbers. In the end, a solution to the problem is reached, and the solution that was agreed on favors Knudsen. In this case, I feel Knudsen did a good job. She was not willing to give a pay
