Philosophy – meno and phaedo 26/09/2007 13:42:00 Snow participates essentially in the form of coldness.  Number 3 participates essentially in the form of oddness Being threatened by it’s opposite form, it will either retreat or perish.  Soul cannot admit the opposite death, so the soul must retreat, which would  make it immortal.   Descartes is really interested in the criteria of true knowledge, how can we tell if  what we know is correct? What can we know without any doubt?
