If there is a deceitful god could he make Descartes that he didn’t exist? No Could he be convinced that he didn’t exist whether there is a deceitful god or  not? Certain things can be known with certainty even if there is a deceitful god Casts doubt on Cartesian circle…existence of god is not needed to prove the  existence of clear and distinct ideas… Cartesian circle – probably a question on final exam about this. Criterion of truth – whatever I perceive clearly and distinct
