This document provides you with initial information & guidance for the BACC152 course and tries to
anticipate questions that you may have.
It is purposely extensive and comprehensive… please review it carefully & as many times as
necessary.
It is intended to provide clarity of many aspects of the course including what you can expect and what is
expected of you as an adult learner in a post-secondary learning environment.
The course outline (available on Blackboard) gives significant information e.g., text required, course
evaluation components and weightings in determining your course grade. You should thoroughly &
carefully read the Course Outline & this Overview & Assignment Schedule document as many times as
necessary before our first class session in the first week of the term. Be sure to be familiar with their
content.
This Overview & Assignment Schedule document details the specific text readings, additional chapter
reference slides & learning materials &, importantly, the end of chapter practice questions from the
textbook assigned for practice to help you learn the material and develop the skills presented in the text
chapter and additional chapter reference slides. Take note of the date schedule for various course
components and plan your study activities accordingly.
This Overview & Assignment Schedule also contains dates for the various evaluation components such
as in-class, graded assignments & exams.
Be aware of the dates attached to each module / week. In order to keep up with the pace of the course,
you will need to ‘hit the ground running’ to complete the course materials consistent with th is Overview
& Assignment Schedule.
