Jeff Mylet Public Speaking Professor Placke 3/6/2008 Demonstration Speech- How to Make a Classic Martini Introduction My fellow colleagues, it’s time to face the facts: some of us in this room, maybe even the person sitting next to you, will in fact take the career path towards the life of being a secret agent. Now if James Bond has taught us anything, it’s that part of being a secret agent is having a discriminating, astute, refined, and sophisticated style. One should act in a certain chic manner. A secret agent should always be cunning, well- dressed, well-groomed, and know how to behave in the finest public establishments. For instance, a secret agent would, and should never approach a bartender to order a drink. A secret agent stands by the bar and puts out a vibe that says “You’re going to approach me, take my order, and it’s going to be the best 10 seconds of your life.” With that said, it’s important that a secret agent orders the right drink. No diabolical villains attempting total world domination will take you seriously if you ask the bartender if he has Natty Lite on
