Isabel Anton                                                Anton 1  Foster  5th Academic Integrity  What exactly constitutes cheating? Copying someone else’s homework;  looking at someone’s test; plagiarizing an essay; using notes from your cell  phone or taking illegal drugs to improve ones focus. The idea that cheating is not  permitted is something that has been engrained in our heads since we first  began school, yet everyone we talk to has a different idea of what it means. Even  though it is something that everyone has been told not to do over and over again  we still seem to cheat anyway and feel that it is ok. Why is it that the  consequences of cheating don’t seem to be enough of a deterrent?  Both students and teachers have debated what constitutes cheating time  and time again. One student from a prestigious California university doesn’t find
