CHAPTER 1THE PROBLEM AND ITS SCOPEIntroductionIn todays contemporary generation, students’ needs to cope up with the new learning setupof being responsible for educating their own. To become wiser and more knowledgeable, anindividual must utilize common sense, creativity, basic knowledge, educational material,resources, and experiences. Students’ educate themselves in this way by learning throughobservation and exploration through many means. With the digital age at its summit, a variety oflearning platforms, and an endless supply of educational resources, students should realize thattheir education is in their own hands. With all of the information at their fingertips, students mustlearn to teach themselves rather than relying on professors or on school programs. Self-pacedlearning is a good training ground for Grade 12 students to prepare for their new journey incollege. They should be able to study and improve their proficiency on a continuous basis for thereason that academic informations is evolving rapidly. In addition, self-paced learning can give awide range of students the chance to study in a way that allows them to continue at their ownpace, based on their existing knowledge. Aside from that, the pandemic is still on going and thereis no certain date announcements on when is the safety resuming of classes for this school year2021-2022 and so on. Unfortunately, majority of the students’ are used to asking for help and arenot properly taught the value of self-education and how to self-educate themselves throughschool, most children do not have the sense of "I can teach myself," or "I can learn on my own."In conection to this, restricted activities and online class schedules may damage astudent's learning process and capacity owing to the conciseness ofwhat they are being taught.
Students may not follow the rules for effective use of self-paced learning resources if they do notreceive adequate assistance in acquiring these abilities and opportunities to motivate them. As aresult, it's critical to look into how students feel about self-study equipment and how to bestencourage them to use it. When face-to-face classes is still possible, the number of students whocannot even instruct their own are thousands. How much more in this time of pandemic that theyrarely can experience the guidance of a teacher because they are taking modules and no one willdirect and instruct them properly. Numerous students, in particular, may struggle to motivatethemselves and may lacking in self and time management skills, all of which are necessary forefficiently using self-study tools. Tons of students now a days cannot even afford online classes
