Methods: The methods use to determine the genotypic frequencies of a population that involved individuals with normal blood (BB), normal blood and sickle cell blood (Bb), and sickle cell anemia blood (bb) involved several different steps and procedures. In order to understand these step and procedures background knowledge of the Hardy- Weinberg principle were necessary. The Hardy-Weinberg principle is an equation used to determine the frequency of alleles and genotypes in a population. In our case the Hardy- Weinberg principle was not able to work, because the population size was not large enough to overcome random events. Step one was to obtain a stock population of organisms’ consisting of blue and white beads. We then proceeded to step two which was to obtain an empty container
