Activity: Twitter data scraping using NCapture for NVivo
Follow the five steps below to scrape some Twitter data based on a list of criteria and think about
your data sourcing for your business question and share your answers to the discussion questions
in the forum.
Step 1: Verify the installation of the NCapture extension in your browser, e.g., Chrome or IE.
Please refer to week 1 practical for details.
Step 2: Search for twitter.com in your browser and log into your user account (you can set up a
temporal account for the purpose of this course).
Go to # Explore and type the hashtag or keyword you wish to search for in the Search Twitter
bar, e.g., we can do a general search using the hashtag " #apple ".
Step 3: Alternatively, if you want to limit the search results, we can use the Advanced search
function by clicking on the More option.

Step 4: In the Advanced search pop up window, we can specify more searching criteria, such as
key words, exclusive words, language, minimum likes, dates etc. Refer to the NCapture
