It provides aright-based mental health bill and a comprehensive framework forthe implementation of optimal mental healthcare in thePhilippines.The “Mental Health Act” RA No. 11036 is an act establishingMental Health
Policy for the purpose of Enhancing the Delivery of IntegratedMental Health services in Promoting and Protecting the rights ofpersons utilizing psychiatric, neurologic and psychosocial healthservices appropriating funds therefore, and for other purpose.The Pandemic has presented many challenges to students, andchildren already coping with Mental Health conditions. It hasbeen especially vulnerable to changes, and has broad impacts onstudents as a result of school being closed, physicallydistancing guidelines, isolation and other unexpected changes totheir lives. In the face of Global Pandemic, schools haveconfronted unparalleled challenges as they quickly shift classesto an online format. Mental Health can affect the daily lives ofpeople, whether they are adults, college students, working ornon-working. Lack of mental health can be detrimental to aperson. Nueva Ecija High School-Senior High School is one ofthose schools which is affected by this pandemic, and nowexperiencing the new learning system. The pandemic itself hascaused much worry, stress, and grief. Students’ mental health inHigher Education has been an increasing concern.Mental health problems can affect many areas of students’ lives,reducing their quality of life, academic achievement, physical
health, and satisfaction with the college experience, andnegatively impacting relationships with friends and familymembers. These issues can also have long-term consequences forstudents, affecting their future employment, earning potentialand overall health.Mental health problems can affect a student’s energy level,concentration, dependability, mental ability, optimism, andhindering performance. Research suggest that depression isassociated with lower grade point average and that co-occurringdepression, and anxiety can increase this association. Depressionhas also been linked to dropping out of school.Mental health problems on students can worsen if it is leftunchecked mental health issues are on the rise, it would be agreat help if you know the signs and symptoms to look out for.
