The colonies wanted to govern themselves after being under the dominion of Great Britain. The framers of the constitution wanted the states to have freedom and didn’t want the government too involved in the rights and freedoms of the states. They didn’t want this new nation to be like Britain, but after two centuries, I think the government has forgotten and lost that. I think that the government has gone away from what this nation was originally intended to be, and are getting too involved with the states and their affairs and rights; and similarly, I think the states are getting too involvedin the affairs and rights of their people.
