EXPORT BUSINESS PLAN5 Executive Summary Due to globalization, many businesses are taking advantage of international trade.XL Company has therefore come up with an idea to take advantage of this global market.The company is going to export PET scanners (Positron Emission Tomography) which are used in cancer detection and treatment, as well as for Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, and in cardiology. The target market will be patients in need of diagnosis and treatment of several serious conditions Canada.PET scanners are not readily available in Canada and the exportation of this product will benefit millions of people’s lives as well as increase the company’s earnings.The Canadian government is a large supporter of global trade and it should be easier for our company to conduct business with Canada. PET Export will begin to export PET scanners in three months.The company will start by operating on a small scale.Within a period of three years, the company expects to have grown its capital considerably and therefore be operating on a much larger scale.All licenses have been acquired and marketing of the product is underway.The PET scanner will be critical to providing world-class health care to Canadians and will be a very profitable investment.
