Realism as an attitude of mind a. Believes in relative truth b. Effect of action on character c. Character is in and related to society d. Deals with common and ordinary men e. Will not shy away from racism and reality f. End morbidly g. Break reality down 4. Some types of realist filmmaking include: a. Primitive Realism/Photojournalism 1. The great train robbery b. Naturalism c. Hollywood’s Classical Realism/Romantic-Idealist Realism
