“Everyone has Culture”What is Culture and why is it Important?Culture is a relatively specialized set of traditions, beliefs, values, and standards of behaviors in a group or society that has been passed down from generation to generation. Cultureis important because it is what each person truly believes in, and it is how each person is taught to live by within their culture. According to our textbook, “Making Connections; Understanding Interpersonal Communication” written by Jennifer l. Bevan and Kathy Sole, “culture is learned, but it seems natural because it is such an integral part of life” (Devan & Sole, 2014).
