What is the purpose of research questions?
 The purpose of research questions is to define what the researcher is wanting to
address regarding a specific topic. According to Kross and Giust (2019), research
questions are used to emphasize and narrow the focus on what the researcher intends
to investigate. Research questions provide structure, organization, and provides
direction of the research. Additionally, research questions are detailed and specific.
Considering I am in the beginning of my doctoral journey, I am sure my research
questions will adjust and change as my problem statement becomes narrower and
more focused.
How are research questions different from interview questions?
 Research questions are intended for the researcher to address. They are questions that
require evidence-based responses and is specifically tied to the problem statement and
purpose of the research. Interview questions are intended for the participants of the
research to answer. The interview or survey questions are used to gain information or
knowledge that correlates with the researcher’s research questions.
