Unformatted text preview: On the surface, Bush is saying that both the Democrats and Republicans will work together but beneath the surface it is obvious that what Bush is really trying to say is that the republicans will gain their power back. Bush also goes on to talking about what his plans are for the next few years. It is obvious that even thought he Democrats have taken control of congress, he does not plan to change his agenda. January 3, 2007 was a bad day for the Republicans but a good day for the Democrats. President Bush is deceivingly says, “We can show the American people that Republicans and Democrats can come together to find way s to help make America a more secure, prosperous and hopeful society.” Rather than address the general public using a form of mass media, President Bush uses the Wall Street Journal to ensure that the republicans are aware that Bush has not given but rather he is going to try harder to take back control of congress....
