Previous line/Trend Analysis : During this stage a development plan is  formulated, and focus on what the consumer wants and/or will buy is targeted. b. Design: This stage is actually getting started on what the product will be by  making patterns, fabrics and findings, research and development etc. c. Sourcing: This stage decides who will be contracted to actually assemble and  make the garments being produced in a mass market. It is decided here where  and who will be making the garments and whether or not they will outsource or  do it within the company’s own means. d. Costing: This is the stage where cost of producing the garment, which includes  the cost of materials, labor, and transportation. e.
