CORRIDOR PRINCIPLE
The Corridor Principle states that the act of starting a venture enables entrepreneurs to see other
venture opportunities they could neither see nor take advantage of until they had started their initial
venture.
The corridor principle explains a particular set of venture opportunities encountered by entrepreneurs
which often results to creation of a follow-own start-up. These particular opportunities occur because
the earlier venture produces ne knowledge about customers, vendors, technologies and emerging trends
as well as insight about the capabilities and interests of the entrepreneurs themselves. This new
knowledge allows entrepreneurs to see new venture opportunities that they could not have seen or not
have pursued had they not started an earlier venture. The need to have started a prior business is
