INTRODUCTION
All living organisms composed of external and internal organ. The external part of an
animal are important as it protects the animal’s internal organ from any harm. In this
written essay assignment, we will have to identify the difference of external and
internal parts of ruminant, poultry and swine.
Ruminant are recognised as 4 chambers stomach animal they are herbivores.
Ruminants include goat, cattle, buffalo, deer, camels, sheep and goats. These animals
have unique digestive system where there regurgitate its cud and move its feed back
to the stomach. Hence, external part in ruminant are important as it helps them to hold
its weight of the body as some of the ruminants are big in size.
Poultry are domesticated birds it provides food to all human as they served their meat
and egg to consumers. It does not have the same digestive system as ruminant nor
swine. Poultry species are consists of ducks, geese and guinea fowl. The external
organ of a bird a important as it responsible for the shape of the bird and its voluntary
movement.
Swine are one of the oldest domesticated animals. Pigs have become vital to the
economy in part of the world. Once said that pigs have all the same thoracic and
abdominal organs as humans. Generally, pigs must have a strong bones as they are
heavy to hold their body and the internal organ from falling.
OBJECTIVE
1. To identify the external and internet parts of ruminant, poultry and swine
anatomical parts.
2. To understand the physiology of external and internal in different species.
3. To learn the the major parts of external and internal parts in ruminant, poultry and
swine.

EXTERNAL PART
A. Head
For cow and cattle, muzzle is located at the front its face. A researches realised that
the ridges and valleys on the skin of the bovine muzzle are unique from animal to
animal. Behind the times, muzzle’s of the cattle were used to recognised their
authentication of the muzzle print of a given “beast”. Those days, the farmers used
these cattle as their “farm machine” especially in harvesting activity. Hence, the
presence of muzzle on a cattle is the most important to indicate that the cattle are
strong and function in an activity. While, deer nose can smell things from up to 3
miles away and have nasal glands to help it function better. Besides that, sheep’s
muzzle has the same area as other ruminants as well. It is intended to keep the sheep
from chewing on bedding and eating on it.
