2 When I was 10, my mother decided to divorce the man that I called Dad, Chris, little did we know at that time that she had cheated on him. This started my whole 4 th grade year off to a bad start on my part and just continued with the teacher. While I was getting used to them being separated, I was acting up and stealing or acting out in class hoping it would bring them closer together. While this method did not work, it sure got me off on the wrong foot with my teacher. My grandparents had complete custody of me since my mother was instable. The first time that my teacher humiliated me in front of class made me act out even worse. I had broken my arm at the time of standardized writing exams. She told me no one was writing it for me and if I didn’t pass I would be forced to repeat the 4 th grade. With that said, I tried to write my first essay for her, and she took my paper in front of the whole class wadded it up and proceeded to tell me how no one could read that junk and that it would never be graded this way. She threw it in the trash can and told me to get out of her room and go to the office. At this time, they were trying out how a third and fourth grade class would work together and my favorite teacher, Mrs. Milsaps, from third grade was there as the
