2 SARBANES-OXLEY Sarbanes-Oxley Act Paper Although federal, state, and local governments are those who regulate us we must not forget that the essence still comes from constitutional principles. Of the three most distinct stages that helped to develop government regulations of business activities, the most recent period embraces the Sarbanes-Oxley Act keying in on economic recovery legislation, health care, and financial reforms (Pagnattaro, Cahoy, Magid, Reed, Shedd 2016). Under the guidance of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) administrative agency the Sarbanes-Oxley was supposed to surpass all attempts before it (Pagnattaro, Cahoy, Magid, Reed, Shedd 2016). It almost seems like the progression of securities regulations, social security, minimum wages, several labor laws, then Medicare, other employment laws, and environmental regulations aided in paving the way for the Sarbanes-Oxley Act to flow next in the ocean of guideline creation (Pagnattaro, Cahoy, Magid, Reed, Shedd 2016). This novel law emphasizes a higher level of liability for the management and boards with regard to reporting financial information (Bumgardner). The focus must now be on the subjects perplexing the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 in relation to occupational procedures in the U.S. today. Those subjects being what lead to this act being created in the first place, implementation, and where to go with the act now.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
